Specialty Quilts!

My family on both sides have been quilters as have family on my husband’s side!

The above quilt is hand appliqued, hand sewn, and hand quilted by my husband’s Aunt Dell.  It is a treasure for sure!  We are blessed to have several ‘family treasures’ and will share them and their stories as time goes on.

I will be adding pictures of custom quilts I have made.  I have many “tops” as we call them that I will be quilting and adding along the way.

A quilter not only sews the top design, but also quilts the project either by had or with a sewing machine.  All of my quilting is what is called ‘free motion quilting’ that I do myself either with my sewing machine or my long arm.  None of my quilting is computerized.

Please keep in mind that quilts take time to choose a pattern, selecting the perfect materials, cutting the pattern pieces, sewing the pattern pieces, and then quilting the quilt.  Please keep that in mind!
